We Are Somos ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Jubjub Korean mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. Please read this policy carefully.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following information when you use the App:

Information you provide: Email address, password, and learning activity data (study progress, video viewing history).
Automatically collected information: Device information, operating system version, app usage data, IP address, and advertising identifiers (ADID/IDFA).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features
- Manage user accounts and verify identity
- Process and manage paid subscription payments (payment card details are handled directly by Google Play / Apple App Store and are not collected by us)
- Deliver personalized features such as learning progress tracking and review reminders
- Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
- Serve personalized advertisements via Google AdMob to support our free service

3. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a user is under 13, we will promptly delete their account and associated data.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following trusted third-party services to operate the App:

- Supabase (Database): Stores account and learning data. Data is retained until account deletion.
- Google AdMob (Advertising): Delivers personalized ads using advertising identifiers. You may opt out of personalized ads in your device settings.
- Google Play Store / Apple App Store (Payments): Handles all in-app subscription billing. We receive only purchase receipt tokens, not payment card details.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, all personal data is permanently removed from our systems. Certain transaction records may be retained as required by applicable law.

6. Your Rights (Including GDPR)

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

- Right of Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
- Right to Restriction: Request that we limit the processing of your data.
- Right to Data Portability: Request your data in a portable format.
- Right to Object: Object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing.

To exercise any of these rights, you may:
- Delete your account directly via the App (Profile → Delete Account)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) and believe your rights have not been addressed, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Account & Data Deletion

You may request the deletion of your account and all associated data at any time — even without the App installed — by visiting our Support page or emailing contact@wearesomos.com. All data will be permanently deleted from our database within 3–5 business days of your request.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard measures to protect your personal data. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes via in-app notice or email at least 7 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
